Gastric Bypass or Lap-Band
Having gastric bypass or lap-band surgery is a major life decision that is often a decision necessary for preservation of your health and sometimes even your life.
Most every candidate has tried every diet out there and is brought to this point because of the continued failures. Most significant weight issues are a result of emotional scars and coping mechanisms related to those scars. In order to have the best success with the new tools you have gained through this surgery it is important to clear and heal those scars; to let them go and develop new coping mechanisms that serve you instead of hurting you. Although a large percentage of the bariatric patients are successful, as many as 20% are not because even though they have had their bodies physically and traumatically altered for success they have not dealt with what got them there in the first place. If you are going to invest the money and physically alter your body forever, doesn’t it make sense to invest in the rest of your life long journey to ensure your health and well being? Isn’t that what this decision-making process has been about since the beginning? Now is the time to live the life you have dreamed about.
I have worked extensively with both gastric bypass and lap-band patients. What I have found is that it is critical to understand the emotional parts of you that contributed to your weight. There is also another significant dynamic to consider and to learn to move through, and that is…… life as a “thin” person. It’s the dream, the goal, the golden ring on that merry–go-round that you are finally able to reach, and many find it has surprising challenges that weren’t expected or weren’t supposed to be part of the “deal.” There is an assumption that all problems in life will be gone once the fat is gone. Problems are a normal part of life and it is how we cope with them that help us to grow and thrive. When you no longer have food to nurture you or numb you from the pain, sadness or stress, NLP Life and Intuitive Coaching can help you develop a healthier way to manage your emotions. Those who don’t work through these issues and develop new strategies to manage their emotional eating patterns will eat their way back to where they originally started.
As part of my coaching practice, I have coached many bariatric clients to help them navigate their challenges before and after surgery. I can and will help you throughout your journey so that you are safe and comfortable in a newly slim body and emotionally healthy body. I will guide you through the maze of changes and the fears that they can sometimes bring. Most importantly I will help you become grounded in the true spirit of who you are, the spirit who was once buried in all that fat and is now ready to emerge.
I like this quote from Geneen Roth, “Being thin is revealing the bones of yourself.”
So, here is my question to you…….. “Are you ready to let come to light your full beauty from the inside… out?”
